Club Penguin Planet's
GET FIT CHALLENGE


Kids around the world suffer from poverty, abuse, starvation...

But more children probably suffer from too much food and too little exercise than the kids starving. And I've been thinking: this forum reaches OVER 3,000 CHILDREN all over the world. Why not try to make a difference?

So, I challenge you to get up and get into it as a contest for CPP. There are two parts to this contest: a Healthier Living part, and an Exercise segment.

EXERCISE


Exercise is something that the average American, along with kids from countries elsewhere around the world, don't get enough of. So, we have a few challenges:

CHALLENGE I: Play Ball!
Play ball is worth 10 coins.

In the Play Ball! Challenge, we ask you to find a friend, find a ball, and just be creative! Here are some game suggestions:

-Football, basketball, and baseball are all fun games to play. Why not get a bunch of friends together for a miniature tournament?
-If you're not up for a full-fledged competition, a nice, half-hour game of catch would be a good way to have fun with a ball. You could play with a friend, a sibling, or if you're up for it, your parents.

Play Ball! requires you play a half-hour of ball for one day. You only have to play one day, but if you want to rack up some extra coins, try playing more often!

CHALLENGE II: Jumping Rope
Jumping Rope is worth 5 coins per every 100 jumps.

Jumping Rope requires you find a jump rope or just a piece of rope and practice jumping. Try to do 100 jumps. Every 100 jumps you can make earns you five coins! The more jumps you can do, the more coins you can get.

CHALLENGE III: Jogging the Mile
Jogging the Mile is worth 40 coins per mile.

The goal of Jogging the Mile: jog a mile. Did you figure that out?

The challenging part is that this should be nonstop. Try to pace yourself, set a steady speed, and keep it your whole mile. Set little goals along the way; start yourself out doing half a mile, then gradually work up to that final goal. Every mile you can do almost nonstop earns you 40 coins!!

CHALLENGE IV: Wheeled
Every half hour earns you 10 coins.

Wheeled requires you to, for at least half an hour, ride a vehicle that requires you to work to use. As in, you can't ride in a car, sorry. Bikes, scooters, skateboards...

Try to go farther and farther with each day; you'll start to find that it gets easier the more you do it.

CHALLENGE V: Up, Down...
Each push-up/sit-up done for Up, Down...is worth 1 coin.

Push-ups? Sit-ups? Something...else-ups? Crunches? Any of that stuff counts one coin per...up.

CHALLENGE VI: Hula Hoopin'
Hula Hoopin' is worth a quarter-coin per hoop.

Just get a nice hula hoop and spin it round and round...every hoop you can do earns you a quarter coin. It takes about a second to make one hoop, so try counting each second to get accurate results. Four hoops equals one coin.

CHALLENGE VII: Jump!
Jump! Is worth a quarter coin per jump.

Jump-rope is a nice, fun, easy activity for anyone, and a pretty strenuous one, too. Give jumping rope a try! Same system as Hula Hoopin'.

CHALLENGE VIII: eXercise
eXercise is worth 30 coins per half-hour.

Lots of kids use active games on the Wii, such as WiiFit, or on the PlayStation, like DDR, along with other gaming systems. Any of these ACTIVE games give 30 coins per half-hour, or one coin per minute.

Healthier Living


All right, every month, a new Healthier Living goal will be set. If you can meet this goal, you will earn 50 coins.

Month of October Goal:

Did you know that within a three-week span of time, drinking soda on a daily basis can contribute 10 POUNDS to your weight? Soda contains a lot of empty carbs, and your body stores that as fat. Do you drink soda on a daily basis?

Here's your challenge: for this month--longer if you wish to see how well you can do--try to only drink soda for special occasions, such as birthday parties. Weigh yourself every day and see if your weight drops. You might be seriously surprised.

Now, you're probably sitting here trying to figure out the following:

1) What are coins and what do they do?
2) How long is this contest running?

1)Answer: Coins are given to you every time you successfully complete an event and report to me or another staff member listed in the Assistants section. When the contest ends, the person with the most coins will get the following:

-Exclusive Gold Medalist Group, which will last two months after the contest ends. The group will be colored yellow.
-Their total coins earned by the contest will be divided by two and given to them on CPP.
-OPTIONAL: If you're willing to let me on your Club Penguin account, I will earn you the FULL amount of coins you earned from this contest. However, if you wish not to share your account, please don't. I assure you the coins will be earned by game (Puffle Roundup). You should probably change your password temporarily if you decide to do this, and change it back after. If you have a huge amount of coins earned from this contest, we may have to change the amount.

Coin count will be kept in a thread in the Staff Forum.

2)Answer: This contest is going to run through January 11, 2009. Long time, eh? Yeah. That's plenty of times for the tides to turn. The winner is pretty unpredictable--everyone stands a good chance if they really want to...and if they really want to get in shape.

Im In oh and today i have to run 1/4 of a mile do a lot of pushups situps an pullups. I'll tell you what i did later.
