Disney owns CP, they do not run it though. Anything that has changed with CP, is mostly do to the original team of CP staff. Disney gives them money and gives them more options into getting money. Such as the toys, I'm sure Disney funded that in some way, but I bet CP would have always wanted that. Why make a game and not support it?

If you were to make this letter, you would have to send it to Disney, not CP. As I said, Disney owns CP, not the other way around. Second, they will never give up this just because a couple people sent in a petition on it. You could have 100 people wanting it changed and they wouldn't do a thing.

If Disney didn't buy CP then it would've shut down already. I know that I used to complain about Disney because of the thing that is now called "Membership means more!". Did you know that membership goes to Club Penguin to help pay off Disney?

I made this a long time ago and I just thought it would be good for this conversation.

I agree with Chub. I mean, I know the pins are getting huge, and all that other stuff, but CP needs Disney or else it would be even boringer. Disney made a lot of the stuff that is right now possible. If CP didn't have Disney on their side, they wouldn't have plushies, DS stuff, skins, membership cards, or even any of that stuff sold at Toys "R" Us. So no, don't sign me up.

Just addressing a couple of points:

1. Club Penguin wouldn't be more boring without Disney, they were already making t-shirts and Puffle plushies in 2006.

2. Club Penguin wouldn't be broke or closed down, they were getting plenty of money from the stuff they already had.

Furthermore Club Penguin was already planning on making plush toys back in early '07, because RFS/Dracophile, the admin of the actual Club Penguin forums over at Miniclip, found a penguin that looked a lot like Club Penguin's, and made a prank topic about it that a Club Penguin staff member (while they were still present) removed. You can also see Billybob holding a Club Penguin plush in one of his press pictures that got released in 2007.
